Specifically, kaolin is widely and commonly found throughout many regions of the country, mainly concentrated in the following areas: the Northwest, the Northeast, the North Central Coast, the South Central Coast, the Central Highlands, and the Southern region.

Silica white sand is the main raw material used for producing glass and artificial stone, and it is a mineral with large reserves in Vietnam, estimated at billions of tons. Silica white sand resources are mainly concentrated in the coastal provinces of the Central and South Central regions. According to compiled data from project groups under the Ministry of Construction, the total number of white sand areas that have been surveyed and assessed nationwide to date is 86 areas, with total reserves of 2,232,710 thousand tons.
